BG ram air kit or continue building my own?
OK. I like the kit but I couldn't justify the price so I was inspired to build my own. I haven't finished it yet but I have the plexi-glass cut outs made and the weather stripping/cushion. I drilled out the rear baffles and just have to match up to the plexiglass so I can plum the holes accurately.
The only thing is, I really like the fact that it has the smooth interior pieces that the kit comes with, so should abandon my homemade efforts and just buy the kit? or and I should just continue on making it because the interior pieces really don't make a difference ? Thanks..,

I tried for a long while to make a kit on my own, but it never looked as good as I wanted it too. Going with the BG kit was a big step up in looks over what I was making on my own.

I have never seen a good picture of the BG through the nostrils. Does the BG seal the opening completely to the airbox? No cracks, small gaps or seperations, right? I tried to make my pieces precise to fill the entire gap but it is a PITA, will never look as good and i dont have any smooth inner pieces.

BG Ram Air fits perfectly. Brian put a lot of work into his design. that's why it's fairly costly. Up to you, how much is your time worth? It seals to the airbox with no gaps. I gained .2 in the 1/4 with it, well worth the money.
