Default Ignition switch location?

Ok guys I am having a hard time locating the ignition switch. I bought a new ignition switch from gm today and its a pretty big piece. I am deep into my steering column and see nothing. so does anybody have a clue on the exact location of this PITA? i am desperate and need this finished by tom. please help me

If it is the f-body in your sig , it is on the bottom of the steering column closer to the firewall. Note exactly where it is mounted as it is adjustable and you can get it all out of whack.

Top side of the Column like directly under the cluster..in that area..

do get it out i got to drop the steering column? can i reassemble the steering wheel and all components and still drop the column?

You unbolt the support that holds it up..there are 2 nuts.
It'll drop down enough to where you can reach it.
