Default Headers 02 WS6

Alright, after researching a few days on tech I am ready to order headers and ory.I don't think I want ss, want to save that money for a mild cam.I'm kinda interested in the BBk or pacesetter with tsp ory, from what i have read so far most people have had good luck with the bbk's.........kinda stuck between the two.

Any info. would be highly appreciated.....thanks in advanced

More people run Pacesetters than BBK's, imo.

Get the coated Pacesetters

Agreed with above, I have heard more ppl with pacesetters.
Although I went with kooks, if you can afford the SS, I would definitely go with that. Seen pics of others, even coated ones that look horrible after a year or two...

I'll add this

I had a set of coated pacesetters in my old '02 Z28. That car caught fire and burnt, I pulled the headers and put them on my CETA when I got it. The headers are six years old and I pulled them off last year for a set of 1 7/8 Kooks.

Here is a pic of the car that burnt and you can see the headers. I cleaned them off and put them on the CETA.

Here is a shot of the Kooks and Pacesetters

Another vote for coated pacesetters. I have been running mine for 4 years now, and they still look good. I have had no issues with them at all.

Since you are in the market for some headers, i would highly suggest that you look into TSP 1 7/8 headers. Its priced just as much as the pacesetters.

Pacesetter Coated Headers are popular for a reason. Very nice quality and priced right. Had mine for over 2 years now and they look brand new. Don't mind the red circle, I was just pointing out the steering shaft in an earlier thread.

I'm not sure why more people dont run the bbks I and some other member have them in chrome or coated and either way they hold up very well. On top of that some people have small issues with pacesetter hitting a tab on the block or k member. Not bashing them but sometimes it happens, I along with everyone else ive seen with bbks had the slip right in and they are not close to hitting anything. In fact mine fit better than my buddies kooks do on his t/a.

I just recently put a set of chrome BBk headers on my car, and the installation couldn't have gone any easier. Lots of people stay away from chrome because of the possibility of them turning colors after being heated.

I loved my pacesetters. They slipped right in with no hassle. Friend of mine had the BBKs, said pretty much the same thing.

Well at first I was dead set on the coated pacesetters with tsp ory until I started reading about alot of the fitment issues...just really don't want to do any cutting or grinding..then I saw that most that used bbk said they fit pretty good, even to the y.....I don't know...decisions...decisions

My cheapass painted Pacesetters literally slipped right in, absolutely no problem. Only hard part was trying to bolt them down, since I was doing it alone...which I don't recommend.

Maybe slightly, but I doubt it. You'll run into more clearance issues if you get true duals (X/H pipe) before you run into them because of header primary size.

More people dont run them because they have only been out a year or so...most enthusiates either moved on to other cars or already had headers.
