Default Car won't start making a grinding noise!

All of a sudden my car started making a grinding noise this morning but it started. I leave school to head to work and the grinding was worse when starting but it still started well i got to work and and turned the car off then out of curiosity i tried to turn it over and grinded but no start tried it a couple times. Im hoping its the starter even though ive never encountered a starter going out this way. Need some expertise on this, is there any way to get my car to start to get it home.

It's definately your starter man. If your car is stick you can push start it... Have someone push the car while in neutral and then pop the clutch....

Be sure to check the flywheel the starter connects to. Depending on how long you've been grinding the teeth on that starter you may have broken teeth on the flywheel.

Check your main ground wire for a good connection to the frame, if its barely grounded it can make a "grinding" noise while trying to start, mine does it.
