Ditch those ******* boring.... good for absolutly nothing but gas "GEARS"...I don't care what anyone say's...Those gears were not supposed to be made for out cars...They flat out suck ***...****-i-est 2nd gear pull their is...I had the same problem with those gears... until 3:73s came along..just sayen...2:73s are only good for gas and driving a decent rpm at 140mph...

This is obviously the opinion of someone that did gears before a stall.
3.73s and a stock stall is boring compared to 2.73s and a 3500+ stall.
3.23 really is the ideal ratio for these cars on the street though, when mixed with a 3500-4000 stall. 3.73 just makes traction more difficult and offers very modest track gains once you already have a stall.

HAVE YOU TRIED POWERBRAKING? PULL THE CAT OR HOLLOW IT OUT AND SEE. A CLOGGED CAT WILL SLOW YOU DOWN!

smog is the only issue if you remove the cats.. however there is a cat delete kit that you can buy for 200$ that comes with an aftermarket y that will still bolt up to your stock exhaust, i was thinking about running them untill i have to smog again, i just didnt wanna put them on and have to worrie about the car leaning out or something.. im still not sure about all the computer stuff in the ls1s. hopeing i could run them no problem.. they have the hookups for the o2 censors too, just an idea, i had stock clogged cats and went to a high flow cat.. although i heard they make little to no difference, i feel like its a little quicker.. maybe its a mindset..haha
