i doubt theyll be collectors. they were probably low production because few buyers wanted a 4th gen that way.

Sorry, I only did the math for 2001.

I hate power windows (especially changing out broken motors), and I hate cruise control. Why pay for something if you are never going to use it? My memory might be a little hazy, but the Preferred Equipment Group was something like a $1,250.00 option when I bought my car new back in 2001. Not getting the PEG gave me more money to spend on mods.

the power window issue can be fixed now with the autotrix thing right?
cruise control. who hates cruise control? its great for long trips. maybe if all you ever drove was in the city, then it wouldnt make sense.

I have cruise control which is aftermarket(bought it like that) and I think all the strippers come with AC. I know its not super rare but I have looked at many F-bodys and mine is the only one that i have seen without all the options around my area and I live where there is a **** load of marines and F-bodys. Also I would rather roll down my window then have power ones. I was actually thinking about getting rid of mine so if anyone in interested PM me and we can talk bout it. I have to many camaros and just want to get rid of one. And again thanks everyone for your input.

I guess you don't go on long drives. I drove a combined 4-5 hrs without crusie control before and it sucked.

They aren't rare around here but most have daddy issues and are working their way through school! I'm sorry I couldn't resist.

Its funny, I'm pretty sure that manual windows weigh more than a power window motor IIRC

My 2002 M6 Z28 hardtop 1SC stripper had no options. It was a struggle to get the dealership to place my order with the factory. I've seen one other car exactly like mine.

My car is pewter and has the 1SC option code. No power windows, locks, mirrors, or seats, no cruise, no traction control, no trunk release, no fog lights. It does have AC (couldn't order a car without it), Monsoon stereo (no changer, just a single disc) t-tops, and rear defrost (which broke years ago ). 2.73 gears. I LOVE not having to deal with broken power options (especially the windows) and I know that after 9 years and 214k miles that I would have had to several times. Screw that BS.
I know another guy with a pewter 2002 Z28 with the same option code, but he ordered his with a hardtop, 3.23 gears, and no rear defrost. Interestingly enough he's on here (or at least used to be) and his screen name is PewterZ28.

Where did you get that info?

I also bought mine at a dealership in St. Louis, back in 2003.

so what makes him faster, driving until his *** falls off or the lack of options?

FWIW when all stock my "stripper" car ran a best of 13.52 @ 105, 2.11 60 ft. Not exceptional at all. My wife had an '01 Z28 hardtop with all the power options and a cloth interior, auto with 2.73 gears. So basically my car but with power options. She ran a best of 13.36 @ 105 on a 2.02 60 ft (beginner's luck with that launch, her first time at the strip) when her car was all stock on the same day that I ran the 13.52.
I've never weighed my car but I'm a bit curious.

People need to remember, a total production number of cars is made up of many low production number cars

Any car is rare if you break it down enough
