What is a cut-out?

That's why it's in the newb section, I don't know **** about cut-outs.

Ya I also heard LTs w/ ory sounded horrible w/ a LM1 but some members on here w/ that set up happen to like it, I would go catted if you stay w/ the LM1. Other then that pretty much up to you cause since you don't have LTs, having a cutout (correct me if I'm wrong) would prolly sound close to your LM1 since your on stock manifolds.

I have a ported TB on my car, I got it from a guy on Ebay. Money well spent. I don't know if I gained anything at the track, I haven't been since I installed it, but I definitely noticed a improved throttle response, and the car felt like it pulled harder off the line.
I read the most you can really expect from one of 6 or 7hp, so I doubt I gained anything at the track.
That's fine with me, the SOTP gain was worth it.

Agreed.....and cutouts really don't turn on and off. They open like a power window. Switch controls up or down, just like a power window switch. Motors opens the flapper, or closes the flapper, or anywhere in-between.

Just to let everyone know I kept the cats on my car, I'm pretty sure that keeps my car a little bit more quiet with less rasp.
Just one last question to confirm, it won't be any louder with an electric cut-out than what my car is already? I guess I just sort of like the idea of being able to turn on super loud and go back to normal loud with a switch, the HP gains I'm really not in it for.

no i wont really make your car louder. the lm1 resonator is just like a straight pipe. it starts as a 3" tube and expands to 3.5" i believe. the only way a cut out would be beneficial is if you had a stock or really quiet muffler....
