U can do free ram air from under the front of your car which has nothing to do w/ your hood.Go to the section on how to do free stuff and it will show u how to do the free ram air mod !

Yes but @ like 50 mph !That a lid and a Ported & Polished Throttle Body work well together. I did the free ram air a P&P TB and a Hypertech hand tuner on a 2002 Camaro SS Auto and went 12.87 from 13.36 stock so all the liitle stuff helps.

FRA will let your car to have more volume of incoming air vs the stock. Both FTRA and FRA will both make your air filter dirtier vs stock however with FTRA to make it more effective you'll have to seal the front gap of the base lid so it'll only suck the air from the bottom hence become a bottom air feeder.

The answerto your question is a FTRA fits and works great with a stock z28 hood, I've got one I know.

thx for the info, what about compareing the ftra to a intake that gets air from the front of the car rather than under it...ex: volant and so on u know.....i see a lot of people doin the ftra so i assume its the better intake to have?

Yes.

If you have a RA or SS hood you'll end up sealing that part of anywya, so it's actually ideal for a flat hood.

I have the FTRA, and I didn't notice any gains with it. Not sure it's worth the $$.

I also didn't notice any negative effects either, so that's good.

And I DD my car, and I don't find the filter gets that dirty. People make it seem like you need to change your filter every month, I changed my last filter after 20k miles and it didn't even really need it even then.
