Engine tie down?
Hi, I signed up for this board because my friend has a 98 T/A and he was wondering if there was any kind of engine tie down for his car. I don't know if it's necassary for T/A's, but I am a GN guy so I don't know =D.
Another questions, what are some typical/cheap modifications to do?
Thanks.

The only time I have heard people using a tie down strap on their motor is after going to a cam and getting lope. Some guys like to hide the fact that they have a cam by upping the rpms a little and putting a torque strap on the motor to avoid the shake at idle. For others with a stick, the tranny will shake as well, which is annoying to some.
And yes, I do have a torque strap made from a ratcheting tie down strap from Home Depot. It attatches to the top of the block and then at the K-member. It eliminates almost all of the shake associated with having a 224/224 112 cam.
