that looks like it goes in an older OBDI car. what year is the car he got it for?

but regardless, no, if those type of results cant be attained with a reprogrammable ECM they damn sure wont with a chipset based ECM

hell it shows the same improvements on every one of the vehicles on that site. even the damn prius.

Before you tell anyone to shut the hell up, you should pay more attention to the items you are describing. This is quoted from the description:

The GForce module installs into your PONTIAC FIREBIRD's engine bay and is connected via 2 wires that plug into the IAT sensor. Diagrams are included. The unit is then able to reprogram the ECU thus improving your car's performance.
This sounds more like an old style MAF Translator that people used to mess with before we had comprehensive tuning software. I also think JET used to make something like this for the LS1 cars.

Having said that, when it comes to an OBDII PCM, this is NOT a "chip", it's an intercept module that will alter PCM calibrations and/or manipulate signals to effect the PCM's response and resulting commands.

"Chips" were something that used to actually require removing a chip from an early ECM and replacing it with another chip that had been custom burned with a different calibration. This entire process does not apply to an OBDII PCM. This company is using the word "chip" to universally refer to their product, which may actually be a chip for their older car applications, but will NOT be a chip for an OBDII car.

If the company calls it a chip, Ill call it a chip.

And i put it in for a 99 firebird. If everything is the same on that site then there is no doubt its fake.
