Default Newbi cam ?

I'm wanting to recam my truck. its a 2004 chevy silverado 4x4 with 35 inch tall tires.it has the 5.3L . It has a computer programer and duel pipes and a K & N mass air flow.can someone tell witch one would be best for lo to mid range and ( high if posable) and still have a good sound. This is a daily driver of 50 miles plus and it also used for long road trips. The head have been rebuilt/worked and the cooling system replaced.I'm also running the factory tranny system and don't want to change it if possable. I do pull trailers every now and then.
also what else would you change while doing this and is it a "have too: change or just to up the HP?

The truck probably comes with a pretty small cam (about to hit the search button myself) so shouldn't take much for an increase.
