But..you see... The tires break free. at that speed the ABS system interprets that as loss of contral and kicks in. It just means the ABS has kicked in...It's in the manual.

It seems that when the front and rear wheels are spinnig at a different enough rate for the computer to consider outside of normal operating range, the computer considers this situation a "loss of tranction" and turns on the "Low Trac" light. If you are braking, ABS kicks in. If TCS/ASR is on, it kicks in. If you are accelerating and TCS/ASR is off, it just indicates tire spin.
This is from personal observation.

So many of these stupid traction control questions could be answered by just opening up the owners manual. And before anyone jumps on me and says, "I don't have an owners manual" You can get them at a GM dealer for under 20bucks. Well worth the investment and you will actually be able to find out how your car works.
