some ppl say u can move the e-brake up a notch, that didn't work for me, i took out the radio and cut the wires to the light sensor, and then put the 2 wires together and taped them.worked for me, think the instructions are on www.Installuniversity.com

better yet just put a switch in line of the sensor and you can disable them via the mini switch. very easy and it works good.

if you do it the e-brake way, u still have to turn the car off, unless you start out with them off... i know in my dad's tracker he used to have, you could pull the e-brake up a notch and the lights would go out

HOSS, yours in a M6 right?

I use the parking brake trick on mine and it works. The only problem is when people ride in the car they say your brake is on and push it down.

You don't have to cut the wires. That sensor only requires a 1/4 turn to remove it, the simply plug in a resistor and boom all better. Plus you can return it to normal if you want. That link above is good stuff.

i just unplugged the small DRL harness out of the control module. No more burning up 3157's, no more auto headlights.

took like 2 minutes total. replacing the blinker/drl on the camaro every other month sucked.

A switch is better, be advised my switch takes bout a min or so before the lights go off when you activate it, I was expecting a instant cut of the lights, but the sensor takes a min or so to be deactivated.
So when you wanna creep up activate the switch a min ahead of time, I dont mind. And I really opted for the switch cuz I actually like autoheadlights!!!

I disable my daytime running lights via the above link. Total mod time took about 30 minutes.

I used these instructions last night and they worked perfectly. Thanks for the link. Took me around ten minutes.
