You can get a mail order tune and have the codes deleted for the rear 02s. Also what catback do you have? If you do longtubes with no cats and you've got something like a Loudmouth 1 your going to be shaking windows and keeping headaches.

Ha...Just keep reading..it'll all start making sense...
If your not going to do a stall first, then I would complete your exhaust.
LID
Ported throttle body(optional)
Ls6 intake
headers/y pipe (bbk from ws6 store is one of the cheapest setups)
Then focus on alittle suspension....don't neglect your suspension

I'm shocked you suggest that before a lid
lol
To the OP: Headers are a must (after the lid, because that's cheaper). Longtubes will greatly improve the way your car sounds, and therefore your driving experience as well.

I don't know what catback I have, it was on the car when I bought it and I didn't ask(I guess I could call him back). So with a y-pipe and no cats how do I pass inspection? And aren't the o2's needed for the engine to run properly?

What I did was lid,ls6 intake,pp/tb,longtubes,ory,3" cut-out,and a tune. LS6 intake I got off the classified section here on tech. Now I wanna high stall. Car is alot of fun with this little bit. Hope it helps.

get a stall of some suspension mods. you will be surprised as hell when you hit the gas either way. the other mods you will not notice any although on paper things may change slightly....but I highly doubt you will tune the car simply because you added a lid. Best to wait till you get headers at least and run good gas. stall was my fav mod and I had no clue at the time what it was going to make the car become. bout to cut it to a 3800

I vote LID for first....just got mine in oct, and lid was my first mod...made me feel good for some reason.
Then I got a ram air hood....now waiting to get money to get it painted..then some tsp headers and make a custom y pipe
