lq4 in a dirt late model?
hi
I was curious if i took an old lq4 had the the rotating assembly balenced could the stock rotating assembly take 8000 rpm? and would it be possible to get 600+ hp out of a lq4 608? we ,my dad and i, would like to know if this is all possible for around 5 grand and have a fairly reliable motor?
cheers

what intake can you use ?edlerbrock makes a carbed intake conversion for ls engines.any cam and head rules ?did you mean a 408 ?I see alot of boosted builds here making 600+hp,I don't know if a stock ls rod would work too great for a hi-spinning oval track motor.check TSP or Swhanke motors on this forum for rotating assemblies.

hi
rules are one carb 2 valves per cylinder and 1 spark plug, yea i meant 408. the ct 525 which i am pretty sure is a stock ls3 bottom end and a guy at our track turned it 8600 rpm and it will have to be dry sumb capable (car is all ready set up for dry sump)
cheers
