BBowtie.
You should check your reverse lockout.
It may be loose if you pulled it out by mistake
when iCAGS installed. What your saying should be impossible.
When the cars is going more than 5MPH you can't
even move the handle over to push it up into reverse.
The furtherest right to will go is to engage 5/6
That's with the lockout working.

Don't forget the grinding your hearing like
the guys going back to 1st is most likely
the synchros.

I can't imagine how anybody could miss this particular gear change, but I'm sure familiararity and practice is the only thing needed. If you didn't bend any pushrods then everythings probably fine

Sorry i'm still a newb. When you say miss shift, do you mean going into a lower gear when you are trying to get into a higher one? The last time i was racing a mustang , well actually passing him, when i went from 2-3 i didnt really get the gear all the way in and when i pressed the gas back down, it was like i was revving it real high in neutral. Scared the **** outta me. I'm actually pretty good at shifting, but this was my first race in my car and i let my adrenaline get the best of me. Now i learned to keep my cool. I hope when i did this, i didn't hurt anything. Can i bend pushrods when this happens? Car was fine after it happened , but i was paranoid after that.

a missed shift is anything your shifter does other then goe into the gear that you ment for it to
bouncing off third,1-2-1 . 2-3-2. ect ect ect pulling to 4th instead of 2nd...

adreniline gets the best of us bro... thats why most ppl make mistakes in a race... but its also why we do it....
