Stock tb sticking...any ideas why?

Default Stock tb sticking...any ideas why?

Pretty much what the title says. Thinking of taking it off and cleaning it, might have some buildup, but idk.

take it off and clean it like you said.

A stock car most likely has the EGR right behind it.. and it gets gunked up. They tend to stick closed.

Here's mine before cleaning after 125k miles:




and this pic shows you why it sticks.

Ok cool and what do you think I shoudl clean it with just some brake cleaner?

brake cleaner works well. I also used B-12 chemtool carb and choke cleaner on mine and a parts leaning brush/pan. Cleaned it right up.

improved idle, made throttle response faster, dunno if it gave em more power.. car just runs better after cleaning it up.
