I'm looking for a little help getting some information on a replacement engine for a 1998 Trans Am. My cousin is about to buy the car from a friend that had the engine replaced in 2007. I have the receipt from the performance shop that did all the work to the car but I cannot seem to find anything about the engine other than a part number that GM has no records of. The part number on the receipt is 93548539. Internet searches have showed up nothing, and I'm not sure what do look for from here. Is there any other way I can find out the exact engine that was replaced, maybe an identification number on the block itself? Anyways, thank you for any help provided.
