Default Push Rod Length

Anyone know what length pushrods I will need???

I have a 5.3, LS6 (02-04) cam with springs(yellow beehives), 862 heads.... I'm sure this is a common question/answer just unable to find the answer. Any help is appreciated!!!

Great, thanks!

Motor is apart however and trying to order everything once... No one has done this? I'm sure this is a common length rod....?

Not a common push rod legth at all! When you are dealing with 0.01 of an inch. There are to many very slight differences between deck hights of the block from the factory, head gasket thicknesses, and such. The ONLY way to know for sure is to get all your parts except push rods get the heads on the block and check for proper length with a lenght checker.

Not sure if this helps but I have 7.425s ... They needed to be a bit longer than stock since the ls6 cam base is smaller. You can rock stock length, the only side effect might be a little extra drivetrain noise but they will work.

From what I've read and researched the 7.425's would work, but I was hoping someone that had done this swap on a 5.3 would chime in. I think I'll just measure once I've got everything together, to make sure!!

Thats by FAR your best bet. I didnt do it that way when I did my cam this winter now I have to take it apart check for proper length and do it again... aka THE HARD WAY to do things!
