Default Quick question on a intake and cam on my 99 ws6 M6

my friends gonna sell me is ls2 Intake for so cheap. basically wanna say hes giving it to me almost and his stock ls2 cam. both off his 6.0 GTO. What kind of gains will i see on my ls1 with the ls2 intake and the cam. Also is there anything special i will need for the installations?

I might be mistaken but I'm not even sure if an LS2 intake will work or the cam for that matter. Most everyone swaps over to the LS6. I'd say it's not worth the swap if they are compatible.

Ls2 intake will work, however considering youll need a new tb to go with it i would just buy an ls6 intake. They make more power anyway. As for the cam its not much bigger than stock and wouldnt be worth the money spent on swaping it.

You can do it, but I don't think it's worth the hassle, especially for the cam. I think it has the same specs or slightly smaller than the LS6. Totally not worth it IMO.

This just gives you an idea on why the intake probably would be a waste as well when you can get LS6's for so cheap.

Not only is the ls2 intake worse than the ls6, you would also have to get ls2 fuel rails and injectors. Pretty sure your friend still needs those and they wont come with the intake. You can pick up a ls6 intake around $300, sometimes even less. The ls6 intake also uses the ls1 style fuel rail, injectors, etc.

You will be going backwards getting an ls2 intake.

yeah not worth it considering u will need the 90mm tb or some kind of adapter/reducer, fuel rails, injectors and injector adapters, go ls6 or fast 78
