I'm not a big fan of Royal Purple's 5w30 and 10w30 "street oils" but their Racing 41 formula works very well in the LS1.

I'm confused? Amsoil published that? I had heard it from a dodge dealer but they could very well be wrong too...

Are you 100% sure? If that's the case...then RP & Redline are both pretty similiar (both Ester base stocks) and would be ideal for turbo motors.

Yes we are 100% sure. I know what Amsoil published. That should tell you something about Amsoil. Yes the Dodge dealer is wrong too.

And Royal Purple uses a PAO base stock.

i have tried rp but i did not feel any gain. but that was also in my 98 chevy blazer zr2. wouldn't have made much of a difference either way.
