Default block ?'s and value

I recently found an aluminum ls1 5.3 block for sale and was wondering if these would be a good block for a builder, and what would be a good price? Thank you.

I did end up buying this block. I was able to get it for 350 so thought it was a good deal. I got the heads off and found a cracked piston. I'm sure that I will find more wrong with it when I get the crank out. I have a couple of questions but should probably start a new thread. I was wondering what could I bore this over to, and if I did would I have to get new heads? Thanks.
