Default Idle adj problem or something else?

Is there a manual idle adjustment or can this only be achieved in tuning?
My car idles at 450-500 and I think it may be affecting my alternator. It the heat of the day I'm running 12-13v

The stock tune on my '99 Formula had the idle set to 550rpm. After the converter was installed I had my tuner bump it up to 650. The tach isn't the most accurate gauge in the car FWIW.

It's the top one the bottom one is the tps sensor. It's just two screws.

Assuming it's a 4th gen F-body, you could have a defective or just dirty idle air control valve, like they said. You could help it a bit with the throttle set screw that is on the passenger side of the body. Screw it out slightly and that will hold the blade open slightly more, thereby raising the idle. Be careful, you can go too far with that screw and set of DTC's.

Are you sure (that can't be right!)? The idle is commanded by the ECU via the IAC motor, fuel, & timing tables (isn't it?). If you mess with the throttle blade screw the IAC will try to compensate (by closing). If you open it enough you will exceed the IAC motor's ability to compensate, essentially making it go to full closed all the time. Doing that will have some unintended consequences, like messing with cold start and hot restart operations. I only have limited experience in these areas, please feel free to explain where I am wrong.

If there is really something wrong the car will throw a code. The stock tach and voltmeters are only basic reference points and are not intended for diagnostics. There is paralax error while reading the gauges, which are inaccurate to begin with. If really concerned about battery voltage check it with a VOM (running and after sitting overnight). Read the idle with a scanner before adjusting with tuning software.

Yes, bringing that screw out will raise the idle for him. Is it the right way to fix the issue? No....but it can help until the actual problem is solved.
