Your local track must have some amazing track prep, conditions to do that on some street tires. Our local track conditions I am lucky to get 1.7s with a 26x11.5 15 et street bias no joke.

What is the steps for a 8.8 swap? Has anyone made a how-to? I would def. like to be proactive and replace the 10 bolt before it fails.
Plenty of info on the 8.8 swap in the gears & axles section.
I forgot to mention the 10 bolt has a TA Performance girdle on it. What kind of time does that buy me before it explodes?
It's hard to say but I don't think it will be long if you keep hooking it like that.

My 10 bolt went about 75 runs on the last rebuild, it had Yukon 4.10 gears, Yukon posi and a TA girdle. I'm running a cam-only (smaller than the 228R), A4 w/4500 vig. converter and now a Moser 12bolt w/3.73s. Best #s w/4.10s were 11.66et, 115mph and 1.57 60'. With the 3.73s it slowed to 11.80et, 114mph and 1.58 60' but air temp was warmer, waiting for some good air before I make any changes. All runs were on MT DRs 275/50-15 which is a 26" tire, and they do hook!!! Good Luck!! Larry.

Not bad but deff think the car should have more. I clocked a 12.1 with stock motor on bolt ons and DR's.
