Default Oil pan swap on F-body

I have a 99ss and I cracked my oil pan. Do you need to pull the motor to swap out the oil pan? And recommend a good oil pan?!

It can be done without completely pulling the engine if you remove the motor mount bolts and raise the engine up in the bay. It is still tight, but can be removed.

If you have a cherry picker you can do it. Like Matt says.

It was easiest for me to get the car on stands, hold the motor in place, and drop the k member down. Its a good idea to think about replacing things like motor mounts, headers, power steering rack... since you are in there anyways.

I believe if you unbolt the K-member and every thing else connected to the motor and trans ,you can pick the front of the car up with a good cherry picker leaving the front end sitting on the ground.
