true Ls6?

true Ls6? Hey guys as i posted before im looking for ls6 heads and today a add came up on craigslist for a ls6 engine. If i could get it it would be great. My question is how can you tell if its a true ls6? i used the search tool but could not find anything.

Ls6 and t56 trans approximate 85000 miles out of Cadillac. Complete with all exces. And wiring harness

It will be very hard to tell with 100% confidence because, and correct me if I'm wrong, even if the numbers check out that it is a LS6 block and has 243 heads, it could really be just that, a LS6 block with 243 heads, but not have the LS6 cam ect... There was a small number of '01 & '02 f-bodes that came with a LS6 block, but that doesn't technically make the engine a LS6.
If all you are after are the "LS6" heads, then it really doesn't matter what cam and block it has as long as it has 243 heads on it.

. Prolly the easiest way to tell would be to check the tail housing/bell housing on the trans...that'll let you know if it's out of a CTS-V, and if that checks out, it's prolly an LS6 out of a CTS-V
