I think it is a toss up. If it were me I would go for the WS6, already modded and as an added bonus it is owned by a detailer. (I'm a detailer) If he is anything like me it sits in a garage every night and gets washed weekly... The red is similar to mine, I bought a 2000 w/58k miles for $8,500. I sometimes wish mine was a stick and had a WS6 hood.
Depends which one was cared for, the red car was probably cared for better..(Lower miles & stock)
On the other hand I know people who have headers and cams and are really easy on them. Just depends on the owner!

Thanks for your imput. I went ahead a got the red 98 and going to order a hood ( not sure what one yet). The main thing was after talking with the owner of the black car he says the owner before him didi the work and he didnt know anything about it.

Yeah unless it was done by a professional shop not saying the guy who did it didnt do a good job. You will always wonder and worry. And maybe worse something will fail. Very sharp car. I had a auto 01 ss and now have 00ss m6. I love the m6 but when high rpm driving with stock clutch it sticks and you have to be very careful when shifting.i just bought this car and the mods have begun. I did ls6 intake, lt headers, lid ory so far. Man car is running great . Enjoy nice looking Ta.
