Stock WS6 Airbox or SLP lid or ???
Car is bolt on mods only, not interested in screwing up my cold ac so that rules out JAMM type kits. Just want to know if their is any benefit from stock WS6 Ram Air lid to SLP or other lids on the market? Also looking at blackwing air filter, yay or nay?

The actual lid portion of the air box is the same for all LS1 cars, so switching to an SLP lid would do you just as much good as if you had a Z28 or Formula, etc.

No. "Ram Air" doesn't start to take effect until like 50mph and that's IF the WS6 hood is sealed to the airbox with that baffle removed. Without those things done it doesn't take effect until 80mph or so. Sooooo really it won't make much of a difference at all.
Your best bet for performance is to get a SLP lid or lid that is similar and go with a cold air kit (like SLP) matched up with a Austin RamAir scoop (just the lower portion which can be found on ebay, and also known as the SSRA) which attaches to the cold air aluminum peice and sucks air from under the front bumper. It's better to have that straight pathway rather than utilizing the WS6 hood. The lower scoop is also able to more efficiently suck up air from the front.

i have never got a straight answer on actual lid sizes. i have a thunder racing lid same as slp etc...now FTP has the 98mm or 104mm lids, i know they are made to fit the bigger MAF's, but im wondering is just the inlet on the lid bigger or is the inside of the lid bigger as well compared to a SLP or thunder racing like mine. and yes use a CHRIS1313 or the megamouth sold on ebay instead of sealing hood.
