Get a cat back exhaust and keep the tips, or just get a muffler and keep the tips.

Once again... Get a catback or change the muffler.

The muffler is a replacement peace that can be ordered. I ordered a Magnaflow axle back and I'm just not using the tips.

Factory replacement muffler. It probably fit just like original being all he did was cut old on out weld new one in.

if you're keeping everything stock and NOT going long tubes then stay away from magnaflow stock replacement, its way too quiet for a stock system. and as everyone said its a simple cut and weld process. probably a 15 mins job.

I have the CME. I haven't had the muffler installed yet but it is a straight replacement. My advice is to install an electric cutout just before the muffler. With leaving the cats on you don't get any rasp, the location is far enough back that you can still hear in the cabin. You can adjust the amount of noise by just opening and closing the cutout. Wide open when you are cruising on a Sunday. Close it off when leaving the bar at some early hour and you don't want to attrack popo's. The only draw back is the weight. It will want to pull down that side of the exhaust system so you need to double up the hanger rubbers. This is not the best place for performance, the stock over the axle pipe is a pos. That said I had this on the car for years and it was a lot of fun and always had complements on the way the car sounded. With the new set up the exhaust is getting changed over and I'm really going to miss my electric cutout.
