Default Hood hitting air lid

I have a 2000 SS. Is there any way to stop my hood from rubbing against my air lid? It looks nasty when i pop the hood and is causing damage to the paint. If not, then Is there a particular brand that fits without rubbing? I'm not sure what brand I have it was on the car when I got it. I recently upgraded to the FAST 92 intake and was debating on getting the FTP 98mm, has anyone had rubbing issues with it?

Older slp lids are known for this actually. Mine no longer rubs. I took a heat gun to it and gently heated it up and massaged it down until it didn't rub against the ss hood. If you do heat it up, use a wide circular motion and bring it down uniformly.

my SLP lid rubbed, as well. Pretty common.

I just switched to a sheetmetal 110mm lid

oddly enough the dyno tuner i went to did a quick repositioning and he figured it out. i stopped the rubbing but it kept popping out of the one clasp, he got it to stay its been a week too. i guess practice makes perfect
