my stupid *** left it in 2nd gear my first run at the track, hit the REV limiter and thought I was going to cry (first time) but yeah, it "bounces" and then goes wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa wa, until you realize your a butt head, and shift it into 3rd

At a stop light, put it in neutral and floor it for a second. you'll find out and nothing should happen (maybe bend a pushrod if you hold it, but I doubt it). I left off the limiter many times at the track. On the LS1 cars, when you hit it, the pcm cuts fuel randomly to cylinders. I believe on LT1 cars it cut spark.
