Default Someone please help! Oil leaks!

It seems my car is leaking oil from oil pan and front main. They are both wet, but it doesnt make a puddle in my driveway. My car eats about 2 quarts of oil every 2500 miles? Do you think this thing is leaking and eating the oil? I know its a common problem w/ oil consumption but, what about the leaks on the pan and the front main? Is it hard to replace both of those gaskets? I dont know much about internals and stuff but I can turn a wrench and figure stuff out. Someone please help!

You might want to try the PCV mod as it sounds like the car is drinking some oil as far as the front seal and pan gasket I dunno also you might want to check into getting a new oil pump from what I understand 97-98's had a problem with them going out hope this helps

As wickedhawk stated, the PCV mod is a good start. This is a coomon problem on LS1's. Do you have the infamous knock when your car is at idle? Some cars will drink some oil, if the rings are going bad, hence the knock. Any smoke?
