help picking first mods

once again i'm lost again. im startin to mods for my car and dont know where to start. im going to by my mods piece buy piece and have an idea on where i want to go but im stuck when it comes to the cams and heads. i keep getting different feedbacks on this subject. i have 241 heads now someone to switch to ported 243 or ported 5.3 heads. what should i do

What year car ? Auto or manual trans?

I would work on a full exhaust and higher stall converter first and then look in to a H/C package.

depends on your budget and application...
like conan said first off, free up that exhaust, higher stall, aftermarket lid, any free mods (eg. free ram air), UD pulley, suspension/chassis mods, higher numerical rear gear ratio...
if you do enough research, you'll find all the info you need to compile your first list of mods...that's what I did
as for heads/cam , you'll need most of the above mods stated to support them...best to contact one of the sponsors that sells them to spec you a heads/cam package, based on your setup/application
