Question about towing a U-haul trailer with the LS1?

my 96 3.8L RS 'vert had a u-haul hitch on it... very obvious tho. it didn't seem to have hurt it any, just looked weird. but i took the thing off as soon as i got the car. that thing had to have weighed at least 70 lbs too.

hey i'm looking for a hitch for my convert T/A....was this hitch easy to install? any drilling or cutting?
