Default Help

i started to put my ls1 back together and noticed the cylinder walls are scratched, enough where your fingernail will hang up on it. i didn't notice it when i got it back from my engine builder put he had honed it, checked it and said all was fine but now i'm just now noticing this crap. but each cylinder has its scratches from 1'' long to like 6'' long will i possibly need it to be releeved i guess or how critical does the scarring need to be to consider resleeving, its not letting me upload photos

it mite be cheaper to get a virgin block .or consider boring a 5.3 block to work with you pistons .

Pics? Hard to judge severity. What is the orientation of the scratches? Do you know what caused them?
