To LS3 , or to L92 Okay, I have been reading a lot on here and still have some questions about the LS3/L92 blocks and parts. The motor I build will eventually be dropped into a protouring 69 camaro or 66-67 chevy 2. The question is, are these blocks identical?? From what I have read it seems as though the LS3 and L92 motors are essentially the same save for intakes etc. The ultimate goal for this motor will be to similar to the Mast 416 motors, so somewhere around 600hp with streetable reliability and fun at the track/autocross.
Also, what intakes and heads are best for these motors? I see that the L92 heads flow pretty well and they aren't too destructive on the pocketbook. and for the life of me, will someone tell me if I need the DOD that everyone keeps talking about on here? I know this is a lot, and I swear I am searching and reading as much as I can, but I am relatively new to these motors and just want as much info as possible.
