5.3 and 6.0 vs. 5.7?
How do the 5.3 and 6.0 liter motors compare to the 5.7? Weren't they spin offs of the 350 and LS1? Between the 5.3, 5.7, and 6.0, which is the best out of the bunch? It seems like GM is replacing the 5.7 with the 5.3 in its truck fleet, and the 6.0 liter will be ousting the 5.7 for it's performance car segment...or at least that's what it looks like to me. Unless GM keeps the LS1 in the GTO for 2007, which I kind of doubt. Is either engine more efficient, higher reving, or more reliable then the LS1?
On a side note...how does the 4.8 motor compare to the 5.3 in the trucks?

5.7 is the lightest (aluminum block) and has the highest compression.
6.0 has the highest horsepower potential and the best heads.

The vette LS2 (6.0) motor will have LS6 heads and an aluminum block, as well as some other changes.
