Hey guys . I have been toying around with the idea of throwing on a set of 4.8 heads I can get for 50 bucks. I had a old magazine where a guy threw on a set and cam and intake blah blah.. Got 500 HP. This was back in 2002. I did a search and there does not seem to be a lot on this. Any reason not to.?

There wont be any power difference then the heads you already have on there now.

Really? I was under the impression that with smaller combustion chambers it would increase the compression.

The amount of power you might gain from an increase in compression isn't even worth the time of the swap...imo anyway. Get them worked then throw them on.

Yeah. I was gonna port and what not and get a cam to match and ls6 intake
