Out of all our friend's snakes the best ran 13.8, while our's ran 13.4. It all comes down to each car's power andthe DRIVER! It should be a go race though.
Yea, I ran a 97 cobra that slightly pulls on me 70+ and blows me out of the water from a stop :þ

o yea that pic your refering to is a mod degsined to elminate oil from being thrown up into your tb .... belive me it works ya go out and run a couple races youll have some oil built up in it real quick this happens beacouse pcv check valve not only opens to release crank case presure but a degsign flaw in all ls1 engines allows oil to pass thru into your throdle body , some belive this causes carbon buildup but weather thats true or not its not good for your engine to have oil flowing thru your intake so that mod is a pic of a air compressor dehumdifier used to protect air tools installed downstream of the pcv valve and themn being reconnected to th throdle body you can buy it at sears for 20 bux theres a write up on the internet and a link in an old thread on this site i dont have the page saved but if ya need any more instructions on how to do this i can tell you its very easy (10 min) and i highly reccoment everyone does it you'll be supprised to see how much oil your engine it shrowing up (depending on your driving style) ((hard cornering and high rpms = more oil pukeing))

My friend aquired a 2000 GT5Spd, and he spent a load of money on mods. BBK TB, CAT Back, Hypertech, x pipe, etc and he says he'll whoop me cause A) my car is heavier , but his *** weighs 330lbs lol B) hes putting out close to what this car is in the link http://www.cnlperformance.com/plenum05.html oh and my fav that there is no way the ws6 ram air put 290HP to the tires!
So with the mods i have listed I should be able to put a hurtin on him? He says he has 290 at the wheels after all the mods.
2000 6SPD 65,000 MILES. MOD: HYPERTECH, WS6STORE SHORT STICK, FLOWMASTER MUFFLER, MONROE SENSE-A-TRACK SHOCKS, SLP LID & BELLOW , ROYAL PURPLE

I've owned 8 mustangs since i was 15 and am a die hard ford guy (but i own an '02 TA). I'll give you a quick run down on what i know.
1999-first new cobras were produced. Factory hp rating was way above what the car actually produced. (air silencer removed intake was "frozen" and ice water run through radiator before it even came near the factory rating, test done by muscle mustangs and fast fords.) There were recalls done, but not where the power rating was concerned. '99s remain to be the weakest of the '99 up era.
2000- only cobras produced were 500 R models...chin splitter, hood, and picnic table wing. 5.4 liter engine, not street legal. All cars were red.
2001- SVT brought the "revised" cobras back. They now produced what they should, but still less hp than an LS1.
2002- No cobras were titled in the US, some leftovers were sent to other countries.
2003 - The blower cars arrived, dubbed the "Terminator" motor. Very nice running vehicles if i do say so, almost bought one instead of my TA in fact. One here local where i live stock is running 13.3's in stock trim on stock rubber. With a good driver and better tires, it can see a 12 here in stock trim, and gives most all local bolt on LS1's a run for their money.
hope this helps. Jay

man its so funny being behind "enemy lines". ive already read the results, anyhow if your z-28 runs anything like the '01 ws6 6spd i test drove today, it will put a couple car lengths on a '99 or '01 cobra. as most of you alreadt know, the '03 cobra will do the oppisite.
