Default Getting little black/orange lock button on door lock

Replaced my driver's side window and this thing is driving me crazy. Any tips/trick to get it back on? It won't even get hooked on and no it is not broken.

Take a break.

Honestly, that's really the only tip I can provide. While I did not have any problems on my own car when I did the window motor, I recently helped a friend change one on his 2000 T/A. That @#(%&#$^@#$! slider/button really pissed me off!

I just kept at it and it finally went back together correctly... but not after stepping away and have more beer

I've had it off and on a few times... its kinda tricky... gotta hold the rod from behind it and slide the whole thing (black handle thing and door lock slider) level with the door panel and snap the hook into the slider..

Same issue with mine. That's the best way to do it. Still pretty frustrating

I did it last night and it took me 10 seconds. I had the bar pushed back (so door was locked) and slid the black/orange piece in so that the point part would go into the black piece. I then pushed the lock piece to unlock and pressed on the back of the orange/black piece to snap the back in. Hope this makes since.

I have to go back and fix mine, passenger side also. Window motor is screwing up so I guess I will attempt that at the same time. For all the years I have had this car and all the motors that have gone into it I have never changed one. Time to start I guess.
