ZL1 won’t start issue - NEED HELP
As I was leaving work I jump into the car and tried to start it like any other time. However this time it did not start. It continued to turn the crank but would not catch. I didn't know why this would be happening as it’s 100% stock with an elite catch can. I try again and it fires but you can hear and feel it’s only on a couple cylinders. I’m perplexed call a couple friends… Battery is good… fuel pump "sounds" fine…
I pop the hood and everything looks to be fine. As I’m waiting for the flatbed to arrive I make sure with a lot of strength that the spark plug wires are firmly on the coils and the boot is firmly on the plug. I jump back in the car and she fires up like when I bought her.
Well when I tried to start it yesterday at the house she wouldn't start again... I try to start her three times and she finally runs. I drive on over to the dealership as it has ~2000miles on it and under warranty. They call me back today and say they hooked it up to their reader monitoring all data and everything looks good and they can't reproduce the problem. great..... So I told them to keep it a few more days and try to reproduce the problem which only happens so far on cold starts. If they can't I will have get the car back.
That will be a horrible feeling to me as every time I get in it there will always be that question of, "is this thing going to start"
Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm in Houston if any of the experts would like to check it out when I get it back...
