Default 04 gto motor build??

I have an 04 gto ls1 ls6 intake 241 heads. Gonna be going in my 70 c10. Kind of a budget build but I've been looking at the Texas speed 5.3 heads and cam package. Is it worth the money for this package vs just porting/polishing my 241 heads and getting a new cam? Would like it to make around 400 rwhp but i wouldn't mind being over that either. Is 400 possible with 241 heads? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I run the 5.3 heads and for the money I really like them, but once those 241 heads are worked over good, they will be very comparable...All else being equal of course

400rwhp is most definitely attainable using the stock LS1 castings. I personally recommend Advanced Induction's HCR 219cc heads, one of their recommended camshafts or a cam from another reputable vendor, and supporting mods and you should hit your goal easily.
