Hi everybody,
I just recently bought a 98 Trans am ws6 and love it! I have a question about it that im hoping someone can help me answer. The car does no like to heat up past 160 (give or take a few) degrees.. i have done a complete system flush and changed the thermostat twice now. I bought a new temp sensor and will be putting it in today hopefully, but i honestly have no idea why it wont heat up. The weirdest part is it will occasionally heat up to 175-180ish but then it will drop back down

I appreciate any help, Thank you!

If you are sure that it's not a 160° t-stat, then I would suspect the sender/gauge reading of being false. Have you hooked up a scanner to see what the actual temp is showing via the PCM? Perhaps the new sending unit will correct the issue.
