Default F-Bodies all my Life!!!!!!

I have never had any other car than a Camaro. I have finally stepped up from my old 84 V6, then 89 RS V8, too my long awaited 2000 LS1 SS. Now I am freaked out because I actually have my dream car. I have tried to search about the differances in the 98-02 Camaros, But I always come up short about the 2000's. I want to know things like, what monsoon I have(I have the 12 disc changer also) , what engine differances and what problems I could face or to get prepared for. Oh yeah, 12,000 miles on her and I sometimes her a slight lifter noise at idle. is it serious?

LS1,s FOREVER!!!!!!!

my 01 also has had that "lifter noise" since I got it (30K mi ago). I have been told it's normal. I hope so...
I've also had F bodies all my life ( 1. 76 coupe, 75 Z28, 74lt, 78TA, 68RS, 86 IROC, 95 V6 (the last V6 I'll ever own), and the 01Z28) I've loved 'em all!

My 02 Trans Am also has that lifter noise. Especially when cold. A corvette enthusiast friend of mine says it's normal.
