problem with the engine idling to low and stalling out. do I have to get it tune because it was a 6 speed stock trans converted to a auto? is it doing this because of the cam? I'm losted...

May need a stall. You have to change the stall when you do a cam swap on a auto car.

Define "GM cam" please. If it's the Hot Cam, likely will need a tune, at least to raise the idle a little but would benefit from drivability timing also. I just installed a similar cam(just a little more intake duration) and it definitely needs to idle a little higher and be tweaked. If ASA cam, definitely.

Clean your MAF(wires inside the tube) with electronics or MAF cleaner. Check for vacuum leaks. Check your fuel pressure and change your filter. But if you still have the stock tune I'd get that worked out.

3000 stall would be fine for a minor cam upgrade. Is that what you have? How does it idle on park with the AC off?
