2 quick question lol I have a 99 ss, I'm doing a ls6 intake swap, and I'm looking to buy a new lid, do I order the 98-99 or 00-02? I plan on deleting egr and air.
Also when I'm driving I hear a chirping sound but when I hit the brakes it stops any clue what can be causing this?

Which air lid to use has nothing to do with the intake manifold, but rather the AIR system. '00+ used a different version of the AIR system which requires a different lid or a breather filter. If you plan to delete the AIR system, then you might as well get the '98-'99 lid to start with, otherwise you'll have to plug the hole in the '00+ version.
Sounds like it might be time for new brakes. Usually they will do exactly what you have described (chirp/squeak while moving, and stop when you hit the brakes) when they first reach the wear indicators.
