If this has been posted elsewhere, please forgive me. I searched and can't find and answer and I've looked all over the web with no success.
I have an '02 Trans Am. I bought a cheap, OMDII Bluetooth scanner that I want to use on it but it doesn't seem to work at all. Is the '02 Trans Am an OMDII? I need to clear my service engine light and it won't work. The connector fits my OMDII tool but it doesn't read anything. The scanner works fine on my wife's '06 Hyundai Sonata.

1996 and up is all OBDII, including your '02 Trans Am.
Not sure why your scanner doesn't work, but you definitely have an OBDII car, originally.

It is a BYLT Products OBDII Bluetooth Scanner. I don't think the port is messed up. I had a battery installed at Advanced Auto a couple months ago and they used a scanner to back something up before we put the battery in. It worked okay then. The OBD stuff is all new to me.
