Default Gotta crank twice before car starts only at initial start up

After sitting for about a day or two I have to crank the car twice before It start up

I notice that when I crank the first time the pump comes on it has psi at the rails. Also the second time that I crank it it fires up with one back fore and then runs flawless! Meaning there was fuel in the cylinder but no spark? What would cause no spark at initial start up vs second try?

some pressure could be bleeding off through the check valve in the fuel pump. Try turning the key on, for 2 seconds, turn off, then back to on, then attempt to start the car.
This giving the fuel pump 2 times to turn on and prime.
If it starts right up, I'd say you might have an issue with the check valve.

Also-(I'm not 100% sure if LS1 has this) pull the vacuum line going to the fuel pressure regulator. Make sure there's not fuel in this line.

The fuel pump check valve was bad in my chevy truck, but never gave me any running issues. Just longer crank issues.

I had the same thing going on. Replaced with a Racetronix fuel pump and it's all good now.
