The military pays for the shipment of one car ( by boat) 2 weeks from Hawaii to Cali.. If going further than Cali then they normally freight it on a big rig from Cali to it's destination.

If you have an extra automobile I believe that it's like $850 (or so) for cars and around $1200-$1300 for SUV's and what not.

But the Camaro gets shipped at the governments expense.

You dont even have to go home to do it. You can do it by mail. Send or fax them the info and they will send out your new plates.
