Default Edelbrock shorties/nitrous/programer

hello i'm wondering how much of a difference edelbrock shorties would make on my 98 Z. and i'm picking up a juice kit what do you recommend for accessories. it's pretty much stock with the typical bolt ons. what programer gives the most bang for the buck that would work with nitrous. thanks

Your best bet is to read as much of this site as possible before making any purchases. That's what I did. There is soooo much useful information here to assist you in deciding what mods to do. And as a general rule of thumb, most questions have already been asked already so search for some of those answers.

For eg. Almost everyone here will tell you not to get shorty headers. Get the long tubes.

Welcome to LS1Tech.com, you're gonna love it.

depending on the year of your car, dont get shorty headers, you may gain 1-3 hp tops. You might gain a hp or two more than that if you're driving a 98 or 99. the manifolds for a 00 and above are already pretty good, so you really are better off going with longtubes or nothing

Probably not much. Exhaust sound would be a little different, that's really all you would notice. Don't skimp out with shorties, get mid lengths or, what most on here will tell you, long tubes

Bottle heater (accessory)
WOT switch (saftey)
RPM window switch (saftey)
Fuel saftey switch (saftey)
Guages (nitrous preasure, air/fuel ratio) (saftey, accessory)

Also upgrade your fuel system. Fuel pump, injectors, etc. Give it a nice tune up (new wires and plugs, NGK TR6s) before you do

For a "programer" the best would probably be a Predator. However, if you are going to be spraying, you will want a fine tune with LS1Edit, and probably strap it to a dyno while you are at it and moniter everything with LS1Edit/Autotap. If you're spraying, don't spray with anything less than ideal conditions
